CCTV (Closed Circuit Television

                               CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) is a closed system consisting of video cameras, display devices (monitors) and wired or wireless data networks that allow you to transfer images from video cameras to monitors.

                                Walter Bruch was the inventor of the CCTV camera. The main purpose of a CCTV camera is to capture light and convert it into a video signal. Underpinning a CCTV camera is a CCD sensor (charge-coupled device).

                                  CCTV technology was first developed in 1942 by German scientists to monitor the launch of V2 rockets. It was later used by American scientists during the testing of the atomic bomb.


There are two common types of cameras in use today: 

                                      * Analog cameras

                                      * IP-based cameras
