Image Sensor
A Image sensor is the piece of your IP camera that catches the light hitting the camera focal point and transforms it into electrical signs, which get recorded as the video you see while checking your framework.
Image Sensor :
- 1/2" For Standard Location
- 1/3" For Low Light Location
- 2/3" For Long Range
There are two types of image sensors used in CCTV cameras:
- CCD
- CMOS
CCD ( Charged Couple Device )
Advantage:
- Best for low light.
- Low Noise.
- Good Sensitivity.
- Long Lifetime.
Disadvantage:
- High Power Consumption.
- Expensive.
- Low FPS.
CMOS ( Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor )
Advantage:
- Color Image.
- HD Resolution.
- Fast Frame Rate.
- Low Power Consumption.
Disadvantage:
- Noise Problem.
- Sensitivity.
